The Learning Tree Nursery and Preschool

Nestled in the hills of the Holme Valley The Learning Tree is a small family run nursery. We have a wonderful outdoor area providing children with opportunities to develop confidence through hands on learning in the outdoors. A child’s learning journey starts with us and like the tree we start small and have different development stages. At the Learning Tree we provide a nurturing environment catering for every individual child’s needs and supporting them in their Early Years journey.

Our vision is to ensure that all children in our setting have the best possible start in life and the opportunity to reach their full potential in all areas of learning.

We aim to provide high quality provision through play based and child led learning opportunities. Our core values will promote children to be respectful, caring, confident and tolerant individuals. From this grounding we hope they will grow into well-rounded happy individuals.

We encourage children to be curious, brave and adventurous learners. We want children to be inspired daily by the world around them whilst feeling safe and secure in a setting with a dedicated team of staff.

We believe safeguarding is of paramount importance and promote healthy and positive outcomes for all children in our care. Through strong parent partnerships we provide a stable and consistent environment in which children feel empowered to develop individual beliefs and opinions.

Each room has it’s on separate outdoor play area. All the rooms work on the basis that each child is individual and has different interests which activities area planned around. Each room works towards their age groups development needs covering the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Characteristics of Effective Learning.
